There were several directions I tried when I started this cover exploration. A few were photographic but I really wanted to try illustration since most of the competing titles were also photographic. Since my illustrated cover was well received I continued to create patterns and graphics to implement throughout the interior. Kate Sears and Lori Powell did a fabulous job with the photography and styling. The colors in the photography and illustrations had an elegant thread of continuity throughout the whole book.
